The Difference in Choosing a Boutique Filmmaker
Melissa Jae Films delivers 4k custom wedding films that capture your big day. From the beginning of planning to when you say I do, I am with you each step of the way! As a women videographer, I know how to communicate with a variety of personalities and can make any awaked situation feel comfortable ( like getting ready and putting on your dress!). I also have posing tips and tricks to make sure you look and feel amazing. I even use them on myself! I also love capturing all of the little details couple spend so much time planning.
Why Hire Me?
When looking to hire a videographers remember it's not only about the film but choosing a person to share the most intimate moments of your wedding day and trusting they will capture it.
Its important to get along well with your videographer and to feel comfortable around them in order for you to show real emotion and for them to capture it. I love meeting with couples multiple times before the big day to build up a relationship. This way no one gets camera shy or freezes up!
I understand there are intimate moments within a wedding day, such as a bride putting on her dress, where I capture the moment in a respectful way, no awareness here! When a couple embraces each other for the first time, I love to pull back and let them have their moment while capturing it. We will never need to "do that again" because the first time is always raw and genuine and I will always capture it!

Tips to Enhance your Wedding Video
Here area list of top tips to think about when planning to have wedding film of your bid day!
Look at The Entire Weekend
Consider including rehearsal dinner coverage. Many couples do their toasts during the rehearsal dinner, which can lead to emotional and intimate moments for the videographer to incorporate into your film.
Think About Lighting
When setting the timeline for your big day, try and incorporate time for your photographer and videographer 1 hour before sunset or Golden Hour. The lighting during this time is truly special and leads to the best shots of the day!
Think About Audio
Audio plays a huge role in making a wedding film more personable and changes it from an overview of your wedding day to telling your love story. Think about adding in writing letters to each other or saying your own vows on your big day. Also help prep the Maid of Honor and Best Man to have at least an outlined speech rather than just speaking on the spot and saying inappropriate jokes.
Give your Videographer some Exclusive Time
My goal is tell your story with stunning, cinematic shots of you and your spouse, sound bites from the day, and capturing tinder moments with your close family and friends. If you're making the schedule, include a few minutes for me to get shots of just you as a couple. Rather you two are walking and holding hands, making each other laugh, or cuddling on the bench, I love capturing intimate moments between my couple just being them.
